September 2023

For a quick get away this year, we decided on a road trip. We chose S.D. to hopefully get to somewhere not too far from home, and somewhat different scenery than we are used to in Colorado. My favorite moments: traveling by car with Chris, listening to music and podcasts, and seeing the landscape change. Breakfasts in Wyoming, more amazing food that we could even finish, for $6.95. The secluded cabin that we stayed in, that was not level, and left us feeling constant vertigo as we moved around indoors. The firepit where we spent the last day relaxing, making smores, under the most beautiful afternoon skies. The homemade goods that a local coffee shop sold that were so incredibly delicious and generous in size, that they reminded me of my mom’s. The moment on the first shot I took with my Polaroid, that it broke, and Chris proceeded to save the day and fix it. The buffalo. The 3 shots of me taken by Chris.
